According to Audionamix, "TRAX was the world's first non-destructive, automated melodic audio source separation software."  ADX TRAX 3 is a cloud-based audio source separation application that offloads the processor-intensive calculations to the cloud and automates the initial separation of the lead vocal from the backing instrumentation, even from mono source material.  ADX TRAX 3 includes a number of intuitive tools which allow the user to refine the separation.  The user can listen to the two separated tracks simultaneously, with the instrumentation panned to one side and the lead vocal to the other, which is very helpful for the refinement process.  A number of additional tools, including tools for dealing with reverb, drums, etc., can help produce superb separations.  ADX TRAX 3 includes a MIDI import feature for easier pitch guide creation. Version 3 of ADX TRAX Pro now include a new Consonants Annotation tool as well as the ability to export your files in STEMS format.  ADX TRAX 3 is available for purchase or as a subscription and is currently available only for macOS.
